Our New Web Site
Welcome to the web site for Painters District Council 30. We have worked very
hard to see that this site provides the type of information and services
you expect from District Council 30. Here you can learn more about our
Union; find contact and meeting information for the Locals; investigate
programs, services, and benefits for union members; consider the advantages
of joining the Union; and discover the power of our organizing and political
action. Use the "Feedback" space to tell the webmaster what
you like and dislike about the site. Feel free to contact me by e-mail

Apprenticeship Site
The Union also decided it was time to develop a web site for the Apprenticeship
Training Center. We've learned that, today, most young people making
career choices after high school have been educated with computers.
It was therefore important for us to reach them with a web site that
will keep their interest and present our Union as a career choice they
will be proud of. You can visit the new apprenticeship site by clicking

Health & Welfare and Pension Site
In addition to the new District Council 30 Union and Apprenticeship
Web Pages, the Union developed a site for the Health & Welfare
and Pension Fund. The site will make your search for information easier
and even pleasant. Accompanied with pictures and attractive features,
the site supplements the written summary plan descriptions (SPDs)
you are accustomed to receiving in the mail. Reaching the information
you need to understand your health benefits and your retirement is easier than ever before. Additionally, the system makes it possible
for you to interact with the office staff with questions and download

The Development of Our Union
At the District Council 30 office, I work in partnership with many talented
individuals in making certain we, as an organization, stay strong during
these difficult times for our nation and our economy. As members of this
Union, you play an important role in developing our Union. A Union lacking
the support of its members will not function or grow. Being a member of
the IUPAT means more than just paying your local Union dues, because members
of the IUPAT have the opportunity to play an active role in furthering
the interests of our Union. Whether it's organizing, political action,
or community involvement, the members of District Council 30 have the
resources to effectively participate at all levels. Standing together,
as Painters, Glaziers, and Drywall Finishers, we will make a difference.
With one voice, we will be heard. As One Union, we will continue to build
our future.
