STARs, or Safety Training Awards Recognition, is an incentive program that rewards members who take advantage of our continuing education classes in health and safety and work accident- and illness-free. Certified finalists earn a chance to win items such as cell phones, televisions, stereo equipment, gift certificates, or the Grand Prize: a new pick-up truck.

To participate, attend scheduled continuing Safety Education classes at the JATF and remain eligible for awards by working accident-free for at least 800 hours during each calendar year, beginning January 1st and ending December 31st.
