District Council 30 is proud of the relationships it has established with Union Contractors. Union Employers (or Union Contrators) are contractors that have entered into a collective bargaining agreement with the District Council 30. They employ painters, drywall finishers, and glaziers.

Most of our contractors belong to the Northern Illinois Painting & Drywall Institute (NIPDI), a trade association of Union Painting and Drywall Finishing Contractors. Its purpose is to promote the painting and drywall finishing industry, to educate its members and the public, and to help serve community needs. NIPDI is what is called an "Industry Advancement Fund" that it has several purposes, which include promoting the Painting and Drywall Finishing Industry as a whole, providing educational services to Contributing Contractors, and helping upgrade the members' professionalism in their own painting and drywall finishing businesses.
