Lionel Espinoza serves as an Organizer for PDC 30. In this role, he monitors work within Southern Dupage County on a daily basis, checking both union and non-union jobsites. He is also responsible for enforcing ratios, organizing non-union shops, and engaging in job action when necessary. As a member of PDC 30's organizing team, he works with other PDC 30 leaders to identify opportunities to bring more members into PDC 30, and to convince non-union contractors to sign the collective bargaining agreement. He is also a Delegate for the District Council, a Trustee for Local Union 448, and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Joint Apprenticeship & Training Fund.
Lionel joined the Council staff in 2003 and is an acitve member of Local 448. He attended the National Labor College in Baltimore Maryland, as well as numerous leadership training programs provided by the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He joined PDC 30 in 2001 when he began work as a drywall finisher.
When he is not working for the Council, Lionel lives in Chicago with his wife Gloria and sons Andres (12) and Christian (18 months) and his daughter Natalia (6). He currently coaches both his son's baseball team and his daughter's T-ball team.
