The Painters and Allied Trades District Council 30 Joint Apprenticeship & Training Fund is a partnership between District Council 30 and the contractors that employ members of the Union. Our Apprenticeship is a high quality, work-based training program for those who want to develop a rewarding career in the finishing trades.
The objective of the Apprenticeship and Training Fund is for the present generation of the painting, decorating, drywall finishing and glazing industries to supply a means for people to become their successors. This requires a program of training and education designed to prepare members for their responsibilities.
Even in today’s uncertain economy, highly-trained workers are always in demand. Highly-skilled workers command higher pay and better benefits than unskilled workers. Highly-skilled workers are safer on the job and have fewer job-related accidents than do unskilled workers. Trained workers also benefit employers, who can finish projects faster, better, and more safely with skilled workers.
