The Goal: In the event that your employer fails to properly pay you and/or report your work hours, to make certain that your income and benefits are not interrupted while delinquency collection efforts are underway.

The Strategy: A Member Benefits Protection Program that will verify your claim and seek to immediately resolve the matter. If a quick resolution is not possible, the LMIDF will pay you the wages owed and make the necessary contributions to maintain your eligibility for benefits while delinquency collection policies are being enforced. Amounts paid to you, or on your behalf for benefit contributions, along with appropriate interest and penalties, will then be collected from the delinquent employer.

How to Participate: If your employer fails to pay you for hours worked – either by never paying you or by paying you with a check that does not cash – or fails to make proper or timely contributions to the Health & Welfare and Pension Funds on your behalf, you should contact the LMIDF, at 630-377-2120.
